De Voetpadkloof Resort

You stay at De Voetpadkloof in the Loskop Valley, forty kilometers north of Middelburg. The six-hundred-hectare reserve holds camping sites, log cabins, and chalets built into the bushveld for privacy. Tents come with braai areas and shared kitchen facilities; cabins have living areas, televisions, and microwaves.

The water park has four slides built in 2018. You can zip line over the valley, kayak on the dam, or walk one of seven trails through the reserve. The spa offers massages; the kiosk sells drinks and essentials. Two outdoor pools (one heated) and an indoor heated pool let you cool off after walking.

Forty-six campsites take caravans; most have power points and paved tent areas. Three ablution blocks serve the sites, with laundry machines for longer stays. The dam holds carp, kurper, and bass for catch-and-release fishing. Paintball games run for groups in the bush.

Game drives go out into the reserve, where you see animals moving through the valley. The Loskop views stretch from the higher trails.
