Russells on the Port

Russells on the Port sits on the Berg River basin in Velddrif, ninety minutes from Cape Town. The guesthouse overlooks the Port Owen Marina, with six rooms facing the water — some with balconies, some on the ground floor with garden views. Each room has a tea and coffee station, a mini fridge, and a flat-screen TV.

The pool area is shaded by palms, with lounge chairs and umbrellas for sunbathing. Below Deck, the poolside bar, serves drinks through the day. The Anchor restaurant, open to the public, has indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the marina.

The guesthouse is close to the river, where you can watch boats move through the marina. The Berg River basin is known for its birdlife, with over three hundred and fifty species recorded in the area. From the guesthouse, you can walk to the water’s edge, where the river meets the marina.
