Bientang's Cave Restaurant serves seafood in a cave overlooking Walker Bay, Hermanus. The deck looks out over the water, where whales and dolphins pass close to shore. The kitchen is seafood-led, with meat, poultry and vegetarian options available. The wine list draws on Cape vineyards.

The cave setting — cool and shaded — opens onto a deck that catches the breeze off the bay. The deck is the place to sit, with views out over the water. The restaurant sources sustainable seafood, recycling glass, tins and paper, and reducing its carbon footprint by sourcing local produce.

The cave is accessed by stairs from Marine Drive, a short walk from Hermanus Old Harbour. Bookings are advised.
