The Baths Natural Hot Springs

You stay at The Baths for the hot mineral springs on a working citrus farm near Citrusdal, two hours from Cape Town. The water rises at forty-three degrees Celsius and fills rock pools shaded by trees, where you soak while looking out over the Olifants River Valley. The resort has chalets and flats with kitchens, and camping sites under trees. Some chalets have private hot tubs.

The main draw is the hot springs, which have been used since the eighteenth century. The water flows continuously into the pools, keeping them warm. Beyond the pools, you can hike the trails through the farm or play tennis on the court. The restaurant serves meals for those not self-catering.
