The Nines is a rooftop restaurant and cocktail lounge on the ninth floor of a Sea Point building, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing 270-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean and Lion’s Head. You eat and drink looking out over the water, with the city below.

The kitchen works with produce-forward cooking, reworking classic dishes with contemporary touches. The cocktail lounge serves vintage and classic cocktails alongside small plates, with mixologists working at one end of the room and the ocean visible at the other.

On Sundays, live jazz plays from early afternoon; on Fridays, a DJ soundtrack runs into the evening. The dining room stays open late, with the lights of Sea Point and the dark Atlantic beyond the glass.

The building stands on Kloof Road, a short walk from the Sea Point promenade.
