Ngorongoro Farm House

You stay at Ngorongoro Farm House on a working coffee plantation near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, close enough to the crater that you can see Oldeani Volcano from the terrace. The lodge has fifty-two cottages built in the style of a Tanzanian farmstead, with verandas that face the gardens or coffee fields. Each room has mosquito nets and space to sit outside; some connect for families.

The kitchen uses vegetables from the farm, and you can walk through the fields where they grow. In the afternoons, a guide takes guests around the plantation to show how the coffee is cultivated. The main building has a restaurant and lounge under a thatched roof, with a deck that looks toward the volcano.

From here, you can join guided walks in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area or drive down to the crater floor to see wildlife. The lodge is a short distance from the park gate, making it a practical stop before or after a safari. The pool is set in the garden, shaded by trees.

The coffee plantation has been here for decades, and the lodge was built to match the land rather than change it.
